This is by far the best 1970s Gibson SG Standard I have seen for sale for some time. It was bought by the previous owner in 1975 from Sound Pad in Leicester. He’s owned it ever since then and I bought it off him last week! It’s in incredible condition as you can see, and this one hasn’t got the classic Gibson neck or heel break. The 202642 serial number and ‘Made in USA’ stamp dates this to 1973 / 1974. It was also incredibly well looked after by the previous owner – the condition is to die for! The only thing worth mentioning are a few small marks to the pickups. Honestly – it’s a real nice example! I doubt you’ll find another example like it!
