This is a rather nice bass guitar from the early 1960s. The ‘Star Bass’ was used by so many incredible musicians in the early days. For example, this one was used by Bill Wyman in 1963-1965. It’s got a really good sound to it, and the thin neck is an easy play.
This one has had a neck repair in the past, likely done in the 1970s. I’ve had this looked over by a luthier who has confirmed it is really sturdy and probably more sturdy than the original neck join! It doesn’t get in the way when playing and is a good job (check out the pictures below). It is in very good cosmetic condition, as you can see, with only a few scuffs and scrapes. It’s a really nice bass guitar and you’ll not be disappointed. Please check out the pictures below as these form part of my description.
