I was recently contacted by the second owner of this guitar, who’d owned it since the 1970s. It’s been incredibly well looked after over many decades, and is one of the earliest President Thinline models you’ll find. This is the same as the George Harrison model, recently sold at Sotheby’s. Its serial number is 59, the two pickups are the black plastic style, the rectangle tone and volumes and, of course, the lack of truss rod. This is a rare and unseen model. These thinline guitars are truly special and some of my favourite Hofner guitars to play. Comes with a nice original cover / case that fits perfectly from new.
