This is stupidly early Hofner Committee – one of the first with a truss rod. I found this unused in a loft for many years – it was dusty as anything but the dust has preserved it incredibly well. After a good clean I can now tell it is a 1960 Hofner Committee Thinline from 1960. It has been exceptionally well looked after, with very little to report. The original pickups sound awesome and the neck is extremely sturdy indeed. I’ve had a few of these thinline guitars, but none of the Sunburst colour still with the pick guard – this is a rarity indeed. It’s a real piece of guitar history and a lovely guitar at that!
