This is a rather nice bass guitar from the late 1950s / early 1960s. The ‘Star Bass’ was used by so many incredible musicians in the early days. It’s got a really good sound to it, and the thin neck is an easy play. This one originated locally to me in Nottingham, before moving up to Scotland where I purchased it from. It’s the 5/149 model in the burnt sunburst colour, and is in good cosmetic condition, as you can see. There are a few scuffs and scrapes throughout, but it’s a nice example.
