I am so excited to share this beauty for sale – an original and genuine 1965 Marshall JTM45. This is the PA version and one of the first ‘script’ logos to be produced (serial 1377). It’s got all the original internals, including the ‘voltage selector’ mains TF, the output TF and the choke. The previous owner had this serviced by legendary Geoff Pugh, who had to replace the KT66 for a pair of Ruby KT66, and a newer rectifier valve. The pre-amp valves are 3x original Mullard’s. It’s a seriously original chassis, and sounds absolutely unbelievable! Externally, the cabinet was painted black and corners added when the previous owner received it, so he removed the corners and, as you can see, the original green spec tolex is showing underneath. The paint could be removed if necessary, but it is a lengthy job so left for the new owner to decide.
The logo is a later replacement, though no extra holes have been drilled, and a couple of the knobs are newer replacements but the majority original. This is a truly wonderful example. Internally original so all the parts that give the classic JTM45 sound are there. You will not be disappointed! More information can be found on my website.
