This is a wonderful original 1966 Vox AC30 Super Twin – with the rare original top boost chassis/panel. I sourced a pair of these from Ireland a few weeks ago, where they’d been in a tech’s collection for decades. He’d found these decades ago in worse for wear condition, and had gradually restored them. The head box has the original covering everywhere except underneath, between the feet. The handle is a newer replacement.
Internally original, including 3x original 1966 dated Woden transformers. The previous owner replaced the majority of the wire internally for some better wire, and some of the faulty parts on the circuit board were also replaced. The power valves are period correct, and the rectifier is a newer JJ replacement done by the previous owner. The majority of the original pre-amp valves are there, mostly Mullards. This is one of the last great JMI Super Twin’s, and is very rare to find! You’ll not be disappointed. This has recently been serviced by a UK leading amplifier tech and it plays great!
