This will be the cleanest example of this amplifier you will ever find. I purchased this off of Barry Nicol, legendary guitar tech. He’d had this for some time and had looked after it incredibly well. It’s one of the early examples with the salt/pepper cloth and Plexi panel. It even comes with the original footswitch which is usually lost! I absolutely love these ‘mini Bluesbreaker’ amplifiers, and it’s pretty rare to find one that hasn’t been altered or modified into a ‘Bluesbreaker’. It has been incredibly well looked after, as you can see, with hardly any marks on it at all.
The original Celestion 7442 speakers are in great working order, and have the original cones in both. The original transformers sound amazing. The valves inside include 2x period correct ECL86, and 2x ECC83. Barry had this one modified to make it a ‘valve’ tremolo circuit, improving the original to a much warmer sound, hence the extra ECC83.
